The Final Week

This Sunday our own Nancy Wistrand will be teaching Chapter 5 “The Final Week” in the book Luke by Adam Hamilton. The following Bible verses will be used with this chapter: Luke 19:7-10, Luke 22:24-27

St. Patrick’s Day Brunch

Looking forward to a fun-filled CUC brunch this Sunday March 17th following our 11:15 service in our classroom. Thanks to our CUC Social Committee for the planning that has gone into it. This will  give all of us a little fun on St. Patrick’s Day. Be sure to wear GREEN or you may get pinched!

 Murphy-Harpst Birthday Party

Looking forward to the birthday party our class will host on this Saturday, March 16 at The Murphy-Harpst Children’s Center in Cedartown, GA for which the CUC class will supply party goods and Bingo prizes. The money donations we have collected totaled $1,095 and will be used for the birthday party plus a contribution to Murphy-Harpst. THANK YOU for participating with your support and for some who are planning to attend. Hosting a party for 60 residents and staff members does require careful planning. Thanks especially to Betty Hunt for the planning and coordinating of this event.

Jacob’s RUMC Hospitality Updates

We are looking forward to seeing you at our Wednesday Night Supper this coming Wednesday, March 20. This week we will be Serving Irish Beef Stew, Basil Mashed Potatoes, Braised Cabbage, Buttered Roll, Potato and Ham Chowder, Featured Salad Bar, Pistachio Coconut Cake and Assorted Cookies, and Potato and Ham Chowder, Supper will be served in the Fellowship Hall from 5:00 pm – 6:45 pm. You can order ahead online at the link below or you can just arrive during serving hours and enjoy! We can also box up family meals “to go”, but please order these by Tuesday Night if possible so that we know how many to plan for. You can also still pre-order frozen meals online to pick up Monday- Thursday from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm., or just stop by the kitchen during those hours to pick up any frozen meals we have in stock. Wednesday Classes

Week 4 of Wellness Wednesdays– Lydia Johnson from the RUMC Counseling Center will offer a final class of this series in Trinity Café- 6:30-7:30. 

This week wraps up this series with a class on grief and loss. 

Anyone can attend, no registration.

A Study of Ephesians- Rev Mark Goodwin will lead a 4-week study of the book of Ephesians in the Chapel Building, room B246/248 from 6:30-7:30 (after Epic of Eden concludes)

Holy Week Schedule

Maundy Thursday: Thursday, March 28. Drop-in communion in the Chapel from 11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Good Friday Service: Seven Last Words, 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary Building.

Easter Sunday: Sunday, March 31.

-Sunrise at 6:30 a.m. on The Commons

-Contemporary worship at 9 a.m. in the Sanctuary

-Traditional Worship at 11:15 a.m. in the Sanctuary

-Chapel Roswell at 11:15 a.m. in the Chapel Building
