Continue Your Prayers for Larry Hunt
Betty writes:
I just got home from North Fulton Hospital ALONE because Larry and I went there this afternoon at the advice of his primary doctor. He had had a very uncomfortable week.
Tests in the ER detected problems in addition to the badly arthritic hip: infection at that site, pneumonia, distended colon. When he was moved to a regular hospital room, nurses hooked him up to oxygen, too. So going to NFH was a good idea.
I will be back early tomorrow because the doctors make their rounds then. Actually, three different doctors will be checking on him. Let’s trust that Larry will bounce back from all these issues. Thank you for keeping CUC friends in touch with each other. Also, one message on my answering machine tonight was from Harvey West asking about Larry. RUMC does care about its people!

Pray for MariAnna Brown’s Mother
MariAnna writes:
My mother, Mary Ladner, will have surgery in Jackson, MS next Tuesday, February 14, to remove a malignant tumor from her bladder. She will be 86 years old this year and suffered a stroke last July.
We won’t know how advanced the cancer is until it is removed and the pathology results are back. Mother is a woman of strong faith and a positive attitude. This really makes it easier for us to face.
Please pray for us as we travel to Mississippi this Sunday. We appreciate your thoughts and especially your prayers.

I saw the doctor today and received the pathology report. The tumor was confined to the kidney and there was no cancer cells in the surrounding area. Also there was no lymph-vascular invasion identifed so no chemo or radiology is necessary.
I only have to return in 6 months for a CT scan and then again in 1 year. Again, I thank everyone for their prayers, cards and phone calls. I am a very lucky lady and thank God that He convinced me to have an annual exam.
Hugs to all,
Sandra
