Rachel Ewald the founder and chairwoman of Foster Care Support will be our speaker this Sunday. She has been recognized by many groups and organizations throughout the United States for her efforts in changing the face of foster care. We love Rachel and the amazing work she has done and is doing. Here is a chance to learn more about the Foster Care situation in Georgia and what we can do to help.
Thanks to Dave and Norma Hills for an enlightening account of their actual visit to the Red Bird Mission Center in Kentucky. After hearing from Norma and Dave of the good that our box tops and labels are doing for the Redbird Mission School we will want to support Redbird Missions in our own small way as much as we can.
Staci Graham, who is the Missions Specialist at RUMC, has been invited to come and speak to us this Sunday. Staci spent 10 years on the mission staff at Peachtree Presbyterian Church and spent several months at Bethlehem Bible College in Bethlehem, Palestine.

Our own Paul Beecham will give the last of the Lenten Series Lessons, entitled: “The Defeat of Death; Dying To Live”.

This Sunday Neal Reynolds returns and speaks on “MISSIONS: WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?”. Neal will share from his personal experience as well as from his role as a board member of
THE MISSION SOCIETY. We always learn from Neal’s lessons and this is an appropriate lesson for GIC Sunday.
This Sunday is the second week of our Lenten Study. Rusty Gordon will be our speaker. His title is:”Jesus Christ: The Show Off”. Rusty is one of our favorite speakers!
Don McNew gives the first of five lessons in a Lenten Study Series that concludes Palm Sunday. His title for this week is: “Having the Mind of Christ” from the Book: Living with the Mind of Christ by James A. Harnish
Our speaker is Judy Reamer, an author and conference speaker. She was born Jewish and speaks nationally about her search for spiritual truth and lasting peace.
Her teachings come from life experiences that illustrate the magnificence of God and the reality of the Bible. She has spoken several times on the “700 Club”, TBN, “God’s Learning Channel”, “Focus on the Family” and Canadian television.

Our speaker is Neal Reynolds who serves on a task force called by our pastor to study and improve church attendance at RUMC. His subject is “4,000 churches close each year in the USA. What can we do about it?”
A Witness to Wonder
We conclude our Advent Study with a lesson entitled “A Witness to Wonder”, a study focusing on Christmas Day and led by our own Paul Beecham.
12-27-15 – The fourth lesson in our Advent Series is entitled “The Inn Keeper: The Place Where Jesus Is Born”. This lesson is presented by our own Linda Boswell. CUC is so fortunate to have such wonderful teachers in our own CUC class.
