There is a Packing Party at the church Wednesday, Nov. 18th 6:30 pm. For information on packing go to http://www.samaritanspurse.org

Help for Morning in Bethlehem

A message from Al Temples:
Guys, You are needed to help with set up and take down of the Bethlehem booths. We need eight men on Sunday, 11/29 , to set up booths in Dod. We will start as soon after the 11:00 service as possible and LUNCH is provided. So please get your drills and maybe a hammer and an adjustable wrench and come help make this meaningful ministry to the church and community a great way to teach about Christ’s birth.
Also we will need eight men on Sunday, 12/6, to take down and store booths and props. Same meal deal and some tools needed.
Ladies your help is needed also. Please help with the placement of props and other items on Monday, 11/30. If any of you would like to come on the Sunday afternoons your help will certainly be appreciated.
I will be sending clip board for sign up and please call or e mail and I will put you on the list. If any questions, just let me know. We appreciate you…

Foster Care Support Help Needed – Tues or Thurs – 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

This is an opportunity to support a local mission that cares for children all over the state of Georgia. Rachel Ewald does an amazing job of providing for the needs of foster children and foster parents, but could not do it without the help of volunteers.

Do you have an hour or two to spare in the next week or two?

Foster Care could use your help on Tuesdays or Fridays, 10:00-2:00, to do shopping at the Foster Care facility on Mansell Place (just above Carl Black Auto off Alpharetta Highway).

Foster Care Support Foundation provides clothing for foster children all over the state. Several hundred bags containing the needed winter wardrobe items for individual children are to be send out in the next couple of weeks.

Foster Care provides you with lists of what is provided for each child. Shoppers are given the name of a child, age, size, and preferences, and you have the opportunity to shop there to select clothing, shoes, accessories, toys, and books for your individual child.

It is fun to do and is a huge help to Foster Care in getting these bags out to the foster children in counties not close to the Atlanta area.

Do  you enjoy shopping for kids?

Do you have some time to spare?
Rachel Ewald has 2,000 of Georgia’s foster children to provide with winter wardrobes in the next couple of weeks.  The clothes are on the racks at Foster Care Foundation at Mansell Place just waiting to be selected  for the individual children.  Rachel would love to have some help between 10:00 and 2:00 this Friday.

From Eric Lee:

What: Parking Lot Data Collection
When: Sunday, June 14, time-slots from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: One of eight designated areas.

Thank you to everyone who helped collect data this past Sunday. We are gearing up to do it again this Sunday. We have extended the time-slots to 30 minutes instead of 15. This means you would count twice, once at the beginning of your time0slot and once 15 minutes later.

Maps designating the 8 areas, instructions, and tally sheets will be distributed in the Parlor (Building B) at 9:20 am or 5 minutes prior to your time slot. A confirmation email will be sent this Thursday afternoon to all who sign up.

If you have some time this Sunday, please help us gather this important information.

Thanks,
Eric

Volunteers Needed to help with Parking lot study

There is an effort to examine the parking pattern on our campus to assess how the lots are utilized on Sunday mornings.

Sunday, June 7 and Sunday, June 14, we will need a number of people to sign up for spots to count empty parking spaces at 15 minute intervals.

Can you give 30 minutes or an hour to help count cars so we can have an accurate idea of our Sunday parking? My wife and I will be out there! If you will, please click on the link below and grab a spot or spots.

Thank you and God bless!

Last December and January many CUC members donated gently used Christmas decorations for this event. This is when they will be used and given to Habitat homeowners.

This is a fun and festive event for everyone and a great way to spend time with the Habitat families. There is a need for volunteers to help with the event. Volunteers are needed from 11:00am-1:00pm on Saturday to help decorate and from 3:15-5:15 to serve food, drinks, desserts, give out goodie bags, etc.… during the event. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Kristyn Johnson at 678-672-5222 or kjohnson@habitat-ncg.org.
