Dr Jim Mcormick will be our speaker this Sunday, and his topic will be “To Be Content”

Verses: Philippians 4:10-13
10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

CUC Sunday School Class

We continue to have class both in the classroom and on Zoom. We still have Zoom for those of CUC who prefer to stay at home or who are away from home! CUC is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

Those attending class via Zoom should be signed into Zoom and admitted no later than 9:40 AM to prevent feedback noise. Also during the class please be sure to MUTE! Thanks for everyone’s cooperation on this!

LaVerne Lamb’s daughter – Kathy – admitted to Emory hospital – in ICU, they can’t keep her blood pressure up, and UTI.

Tom Cantrell – prayers needed for healing – for complications from the catheter he had from his cystoscopy.

George Waite – He needs lots of prayers for his recovery.

Lori Walsh – We are fortunate to have her as our RUMC Business Administrator. She began chemotherapy this week for ovarian cancer and has asked CUC to be a prayer support partner. Please put her on your prayer list. You may also send cards to her at the church as she will continue to work. If you have questions please contact Gale or Roger Davis.

Jeannie Ehlers continues chemo. Jeannie and Jim really appreciate all of your prayers for healing.

Rose Lappe – continue prayers as she also continues chemo.

Edna Smith at Village Park Alpharetta. She very much appreciates your prayers.

Pray for the caregivers of those who are ailing.

Please pray for needs expressed and unexpressed for CUC members, and for friends and relatives of CUC class members who are facing illnesses, loss of loved ones, and important decisions to be made. Prayers also for our nation and its people and for the people of Ukraine.

The Commons Project Update

The Commons Project will provide an inviting outdoor setting to welcome community, encourage outreach, expand capacity for worship, and help meet the growing needs of Roswell UMC and the surrounding community. Wednesday, March 1 at 4:30 p.m. has been selected for our Groundbreaking Celebration, and you are invited to come and participate. Wednesday Night Supper will be available immediately afterward in Fellowship Hall. The RUMC Hospitality team is thrilled to be back in action next week!

Our next Community and Fellowship Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Lunch will be each Tuesday from 11:30 am- 1:30 pm. This will be a dine-in hot meal that includes beverages and dessert in our Fellowship Hall. We do still have the option to pick up your meal in our Drive-through take out line or we also have a “to go” station set up and volunteers present to assist if you would like to take you meal home. Lunch will be $7.00 per guest. You can also order a $30.00 family meal “To Go”; just please give me 24-hour advance notice for family meals.

Wednesday Night Supper will be on Wednesday, February 22, 2023! Dine in at the Fellowship Hall from 5:00 pm – 6:45 pm. All you can eat each week includes: Main Buffet, Salad Bar, Soup Station, Dessert Station, and Beverages all included! You can also order Wednesday Night Supper as Family Meal for $30.00 and we will have it ready for you to pick up by 5:00 PM.
