What Does it Mean to Forgive Someone?

Our own Mark Goodwin will teach CUC for the next two weeks. His lesson this Sunday is “What does it Mean to Forgive Someone?” using scripture from Matthew 6:9-15. We always receive more insight into scripture through Mark’s lessons.

CUC Sunday School Class

We continue to have class both in the classroom and on Zoom. We still have Zoom for those of CUC who prefer to stay at home or who are away from home! (and for those with or exposed to Covid. ) CUC is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

In Memoriam

Our former CUC classmate, Marty Fortney, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, October 1st. She was 78. Many in our class will remember the fun social events Marty planned for CUC and her work with Homestretch and Habitat for Humanity. In recent years the Fortneys divided their time between Roswell and their horse farm in Kentucky.

The circumstances of Marty’s death were tragic and we are asking for prayers that the family may find their way through the darkness and find a meaningful way to grieve her death and celebrate her life.

If you would like to send a note to Marty’s husband, Jim, his address is: 3946 Loch Highland Pass, Roswell, GA 30075. Please call Kris Taylor if you have any questions.

Please pray for needs expressed and unexpressed for CUC members, and for friends and relatives of CUC class members who are facing illnesses, loss of loved ones, and important decisions to be made. Prayers also for our nation and its people and for the people of Ukraine.Birthdays

New CUC Member

Very shortly we will be welcoming our long-time international visitor, M. Peter Oliver who worships with us on zoom every Sunday. Peter is the cousin of Louise Booysen, and will be visiting her here from France for a few weeks. We now have an application for him to be an official CUC member. He has been a regular CUC attendee by zoom for quite some time. We will add Peter to the CUC Attendance Roll and welcome him as a new RUMC Guest. Our first international member! He lives in the Northwestern part of France in the Bretagne, or Brittany, peninsula, a part of France. We are all looking forward to meeting him after visiting with him on zoom so many Sundays in the last few years.
