How the English Bible Came to Be
Dean Tucker has our lesson again this week, completing his series on “How the English Bible Came to Be”. Dean is a member of the BYKOTA Sunday School class and was a professor at Oglethorpe. He has been covering the subjects: Christian beliefs about the creation of the Bible, the case for the Bible as the inspired Word of God,
In what language(s) was the Bible originally written? When was the Bible written? Who wrote the Bible?, Why was the Bible written? How was the Bible written and preserved throughout the early stages? How was it determined what to include or exclude in the Bible?, How were the books of the Bible named and ordered?, The bloody, violent and murderous path to our present day English Bible, and How and why are there so many translations and versions of the Bible? His lessons are built upon the following words of Scripture: Mark 13:31, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21,1 Thessalonians 2:13
CUC Sunday School Class
We continue to have class both in the classroom and on Zoom. We still have Zoom for those of CUC who prefer to stay at home or who are away from home! CUC is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
Those attending class via Zoom should be signed into Zoom and admitted no later than 9:40 AM to prevent feedback noise. Thanks for everyone’s cooperation on this!

Charis Gallery Exhibit
Be sure to take time to look at the exhibit in the Charis Gallery (in the hall outside the Welcome Center in Building A), The Artists of RUMC. We have several artists of CUC represented : Patricia Mashburn, Larry Hunt and Jan Buckley. Also Gale and Roger Davis’ daughter Perri has several pieces on
exhibit.
T-Shirts for Honduras
If, during spring cleaning, you come across men’s or women’s T’s that you wish to donate to charity, please bring to class on Sunday. We are sending a large crate to Honduras where the need is so great. Thanks!
