Christian, What do You Believe?
We will welcome Scott Dickson back this Sunday after his “thought provoking” lesson last week. The title of the lesson this week is “Christian, What do You Believe?”

Scott’s lessons encourage us to think and be prepared to defend what we believe – as difficult as it might be at times. After last week, the one truth we can know for sure is: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believed in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Patriotic Picnic Potluck
There was a great turnout for the Patriotic Picnic Wednesday evening, Jeff Coelho counted 83 in attendance.
We also celebrated Charlotte and Malone’s 60 wedding Anniversary, Dee and Bill Scott’s Anniversary and Beverly Tatom’s Birthday.
From Claudia Phelps: If you were unable to contribute to the love offering Wednesday night, you may bring checks Sunday and give them to Charlie Mason.
From Beverly Tatom: A great big thank you to my wonderful CUC family for the “Totally” surprise birthday accolades. Plus Birthday cake, roses and even a crown! I am so blessed to have such loving Christian friends and I love each of you.

MUST Summer Lunches
The next date for CUC to pack lunch bags will be Tuesday, July 2 – 10:00 – 11:00 am
Members still wishing to make donations to the summer lunch program should make out their checks to CUC and include “MUST summer lunches” on the line for notes. These checks can be placed in the collection basket any Sunday.
Volunteer help is also needed for volunteers to pack and load lunches or to drive or ride on a delivery route, to get all those lunches delivered each day. Visit rumc.com/must to sign up.
Patriotic Concerts
The Thirty-Eighth Annual Roswell Patriotic Celebration Concerts are Friday, June 28, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 30, at 3 p.m. Complimentary tickets will be available in the Main Office, the Worship Arts office. Or, you may get your tickets from Sarah Beecham in the CUC class on Sunday morning (for the Sunday afternoon Concert).

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Acting UP is Presenting Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat With a live orchestra, a cast of 45, and costumes from New York.

Why Do We Want Boxtops for Red Bird Missions?
The United Methodist Conference has established this fully accredited Christian grade school through high school to educate poor children in Appalachia. It has a 97% graduation rate. United Methodist Churches all over the country collect and send Boxtops For Education so the schools can buy needed items. (As you save yours and bring them in, please check the expiration dates!)

- Prayers for Diana Frei, who is in the last stages of lymphoma. She has stopped treatment except for meds to keep her comfortable. She is being cared for at home by her partner of 40 years, Gail Erman.
- Prayers for Rev. Melissa Mobley and her family. Her father Jack Kime, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 25th. Funeral arrangements are as follows: Visitation will be Friday, June 28th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Calhoun, GA. The funeral service will be Saturday, June 29th at 11:00 am at Calhoun First UMC (205 E Line St., Calhoun, GA).
- Dick Anthony – Pray for good recovery after surgery on his leg as he continues treatment for Multiple Myeloma.
- From Robin Hicks – Please pray for my daughter, Shannon Garrett. She will leave this Sunday, June 23, to have a stem cell transplant to halt the progression of Multiple Sclerosis. She will be at Clinica Ruiz for a month long treatment. This facility is run by Dr. Ruiz Arguelles , a top 50 Mayo Clinic Alumnus, and is one of two places in the world with proven results of stopping MS progression. Thank you in advance for your prayers.
- Harvey West – for good recovery following his colon surgery

- Shirley May who is still recovering from the effects of Shingles.
- Pat (Mrs.) Cooney as she has chemo for multiple myeloma. Her condition has improved but she will need to continue chemo. Keep her and her husband Pat in your prayers.
Please pray for needs expressed and unexpressed for friends and relatives of CUC class members who are facing illnesses, loss of loved ones, and important decisions to be made.
