Oh, the Places We Will Go!
The CUC lesson this Sunday will be given by Pam Page. In addition to working with several local missions, Pam has been on several international mission adventures and serves on the RUMC Global team. A member of the Bereans Class, she has as her topic, “Oh, the places we will go”.

CUC Wednesday Night Out
On August 2, 2017 CUC members will enjoy dinner at Peach and the Porkchop, 12040 Etris Road, Roswell [MENU] at 5:30 . Sign up in class on Sunday. If you want to come and don’t sign up on Sunday, or if you sign up and can’t come please call Grady or Pat Phillips, by noon, Tuesday August 1.
Books for Murphy Harpst
Murphy Harpst School is in need of books for ages 12- 20 to build their new library.
Pamela Kramer, Director of Therapeutic Recreation, who some CUC members have met at the CUC February birthday parties at Murphy Harpst, has told Norma Hills that also needed are stuffed animals and items for activities for their leisure time like puzzles, board games, playing cards, adult coloring books and colored pencils .
Please bring any items you might want to contribute to CUC class next Sunday or deliver them to the Hills’ home. Dave & Norma Hills plan to deliver what we collect to the school in Cedartown in August.
MUST Summer Lunch Program
Our CUC team of volunteers will not be needed to put together any more lunch bags.
The class voted on Sunday to put the remaining money into the CUC account to be used for next summer’s lunches.
Thanks to our fine Summer Lunch leadership team, Jeff and Lesleigh Coelho and Bill and Sandy Griffin and to Jim and Linda Boswell, who helped gather financing and the food and supplies, and to all the CUC volunteers.

Upscale Garage Sale Preparations
This is the week!
The Garage Sale Extravaganza is Aug. 3-5! Please remember to bring your items for the Upscale Garage Sale this Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
Come help if you can…All proceeds help fund Job Networking. Come on in any day but especially on Monday and Tuesday this coming week to share in the fun of working with other CUC and RUMC members helping to put on this big fundraiser for Job Networking.
There is always work to do! Gale Davis who handles the clothing room asks that we bring in our clothing to be sold on Monday, July 30 and Tuesday, August 1, on hangers please!
RUMC Trip to Atlanta History Center
Join a group from RUMC Wednesday, August 16 for a tour of the Atlanta History Center. Admission is $13 per person. Lunch will be at Smokebelly BBQ and will be paid individually. We will leave from the parlor at 9:00 am. To make reservations, acummings@rumc.com

Prayer Requests
- Lynn Adcock – who has good news and bad news. The lymph nodes are gone so no more radiation-good news. The tumor has shrunk but is still there-bad news. 3 more rounds of chemo starting Monday. Thanks for all of your prayers.
- Jackie Hubbard – for good recovery following latest procedure on her knee
- Betty Hunt – for relief of continuing back and leg pain.
- Terry Taylor – who has spent 5 days in the St. Joes, now home and returning to hospital daily for IV antibiotics.
Thanksgiving
Betty Hunt was able to be back at CUC Class on Sunday morning. She says: Thank you, CUC members, for all your kindness during the weeks I was not able to come to class: cards, calls, visits, food, and especially prayers. It is a real privilege for me to know each one of you in our caring community. God bless you.
