Honduras – Lunches for Learning – 2017
Yesterday was just over the top! Each day we get to know the children, teachers, mom, community workers better and seem to move through the day with more ease. Our men have made great progress on building while we have played educational games, told Bible stories, crafts, and continued with the care of teeth. With the older children, we did a lesson on teeth, how to care for them, and how to keep them healthy. Notice the Alligator Puppet in the photo with a full mouth of teeth and a giant size toothbrush. Thanks to Atlanta Dental Supply for giving us toothbrushes, puppet, and toothpaste. Today we will make sure all parents and siblings have brushes to take home also.
We also had an update from the principal regarding the computers given to us from Ackerman Security, one of our faithful employers attending RUMC Job Networking. He said they computers are constantly in use and that the 9th grade has set up computer labs so that they can rotate time.
Today is our last day at the school. We have a long drive tomorrow back to Tegu where we will board the plane Thursday. We are all enjoying our daily devotions and sharing time each evening. Tonight will be really special. Please keep your notes coming as we read them from all of you and find them so insightful and encouraging.
Blessings, Your RUMC
