Saturday Morning in Honduras….Good Morning!

Honduras day 2 (1)

We were greeted with love and hugs as we arrived at the schoolyard of our
RUMC school. Children were everywhere waiting with open arms to see us as
we departed the big yellow school bus that takes us Nacaome to Los Tablos.
Only the sun, chickens and the early birds are up now writing and reading on
their electronic devices (2 hr. time difference). Yesterday we began the
Bible School with Allison reading stories in their language, the team
helping with crafts that matched the stories, and Carlos from Missions in
Action working with the dental team to teach the children how to care for
their teeth. The community showed up to help us with the hard work of
building the foundation for the new school building. We walk at night a
short distance to a home where we are served wonderful Honduran meals in the
yard. Oh, yes, it is hot here but we are in bed early and our bedrooms are
air-conditioned.

Today is MOM Day at the school. Gale’s team put together “gifts” for the moms (shampoo, soap, other basic toiletries) and much more. It is such a fun day with the moms and they appreciate the gifts so much! (this is the world without soap and a toothbrush). We will continue building. Please pray for safety for all the workers.

Your Honduras Team!
