First Sunday Chapel Communion Service

The start time for First Sunday Chapel Communion on February 5th has changed. It will now start at 8:15 instead of 8:30. The service will last 45 minutes, ending at 9:00. This earlier start allows the Chapel Roswell team more time to set up and rehearse before their 10:30 service.

Don’t miss Kristen Heiden’s message this Sunday and the beautiful anthem by the Prime Time Singers: Create In Me a Clean Heart, O God from the text of Psalm 51.

CUC Website

Our CUC class has an outstanding website at http://www.cucrumc.info thanks to the diligent work of Doug Tatom. Be sure to get in the habit of using it if you don’t already.

It has an amazing amount of information on it. Among other things, there is the CUC calendar including all birthdays and anniversaries, the list of refreshment providers, photos, and CUC member contact information. Our weekly CUC newsletter is posted there each week and those newsletters and audios of CUC speakers for a number of years back are also there. Please thank Doug for his diligent work on keeping it all up to date.

Poverty Simulation

Get the first glimpse of what Global Impact Celebration (GIC) will offer in 2017! You will navigate through a payday loan office, an unemployment office, MARTA, jail, school, a food bank, etc. Walking in the shoes of poverty will be different than hearing about it in a news broadcast!

Foster Care Support Foundation Prom-A-Palooza 2017- volunteers needed

This is a wonderful event on Sunday, February 19, where girls in foster care can come to choose everything they need to go to their proms. Volunteers help girls choose from a selection of beautiful prom dresses and gowns to take home for their perfect evening. Personal shoppers will help them through the process of selecting dresses and also help with a selection of accessories such as shoes, shawls, purses etc. to find their perfect choices.

Rachel Ewald can use between 4 or 5 volunteers from CUC if anyone is interested in volunteering for the day, 9 am to 5 pm, please email rachel@fostercare.org and she will send the registration form for the volunteers for that date.

Unfortunately, they can’t take split shifts due to the nature of the event but they will have plenty of food for volunteers to eat. You can go to the Foster Care Support Foundation website to read all about the event. Volunteering there is a great experience!
