The Nurturing Community: For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word:
“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:13 – 14

Honduras Mission Opportunity
RUMC has partnered with Lunches for Learning, Inc., to “adopt” the Manuel Bonilla Elementary School in the remote mountain community of Las Tablas in southern Honduras.
A trip April 20-27 will build upon our previous trips in 2015 by continuing to strengthen relationships with key local church and community leaders. Our hope is to build a long term relationship with this community and help them lift themselves out of oppressive poverty while developing their spiritual health. Projects will be discussed at our planning meetings.
This is a great opportunity for first-time mission trip participants. A Honduras Mission Team Information Meeting will be held Monday, Dec. 5, at 6:30 p.m. in the dining room . Details: Katherine Simons, lovingyourneighbor@gmail.com . At the planning meeting you will see slides of school and facilities, meet the lead team and participate in planning.
Support RUMC Missions as you start your holiday shopping and decorating
As you pull decorations out of storage, consider donating those unused “treasures” to our missions booth. Maybe you’re looking for that perfect piece to finish your decorations. Check out our Mission Booth and spread the word. Information: rumc.com/missionsbooth
