Wednesday Night Out Dinners
We had 38 CUC class members out to dinner at Brookwood Grill this past Wednesday evening. Much appreciation goes to Pat & Grady Phillips, and Ann & Larry Douglas for arranging our CUC Wednesday night dinners this summer. They have done a great job choosing and arranging our dinners at various local restaurants. RUMC WNO Dinners resume Wednesday August 17th.
RUMC Job Networking Extravaganza Garage Sale

Red Bird Mission School
Good news! This week to benefit Red Bird Mission School, part of a United Methodist settlement in Appalachia, CUC is sending 207 Box Tops for Education and 115 Labels for Education. These coupons, found on containers of many common household items, help the school with its needs. Thank you for continuing to clip the coupons when you find them and bringing them to class.
Opportunity to hear Jim McCormick
Jim McCormick, long time CUC friend and leader of our 2014 retreat at Amicalola Falls, will be speaking at the Cumming First UMC on Wednesday, August 24.
His topic will be “The Gospel Goes to Broadway”. That’s a topic we have heard before, but anytime Jim speaks is an opportunity you don’t want to pass up.
Jim’s program will start at 7:00. We may be taking a church van leaving RUMC at 4:30, early enough to have dinner at Cumming’ UMC’s WNO supper. Contact Tom Knight if you are interested in going.
