I wanted to ask that you please make your classes aware of all the opportunities coming up for them to get involved in our community.

All summer we are in need of extra people in our Hospitality ministry to fill in for those out on vacation. If you can volunteer any Sunday or for a special event to drive the carts, greet visitors, usher, serve at a special event, please go to http://www.rumc.com/hospitality for a link to sign up. It takes many smiles and handshakes to make people feel welcome and at home. Let’s make RUMC a place folks feel wanted!!

This Saturday, 5/21 – Field Day at Grimes Bridge Park for Developmentally Disabled Adults. Families can volunteer to help with games, escort participants, set-up, clean-up. Sign up at http://www.rumc.com/noahsark.

Sundays, 5/29 and 6/5 – Operation Oreo – donations of Oreos are collected to send to our military overseas. Let’s see which class can collect the most Oreos for our troops!! Collection bins will be in the Sanctuary and Kidz Zone areas on May 29 and June 5.

Mondays – Fridays, 5/31-8/5 – MUST Summer Lunch program every Monday – Friday (excluding Memorial Day and 4th of July). We pack about 400 lunches every day. Volunteers needed to make sandwiches, pack and deliver. Your class can have a get together to make lunches anytime and then bring them to the kitchen. Sunday, 8/21 – Miss Mary’s ice cream crankin’ — All proceeds benefit Drake House. Come enjoy ice cream in Roswell Square • 2:00-4:00 pm
