Do you enjoy shopping for kids? Do you have an hour or two to spare in the next week or two?
This is an opportunity to help Foster Care Foundation provide winter wardrobes for foster children in other parts of Georgia. There are many foster children who will need appropriate clothing soon. Several hundred bags containing the needed items for individual children are to be send out in the next couple of weeks. Foster Care could use your help on Tuesdays or Fridays, 10:00-2:00, to do shopping at the Foster Care facility on Mansell Place (just above Carl Black Auto off Alpharetta Highway).
The clothes are on the racks just waiting to be selected for the individual children. Foster Care provides shoppers with lists of what is provided for each child. Shoppers are given the name of a child, age, size, and preferences, and you have the opportunity to shop for clothing, shoes, accessories, toys, and books for your individual child. It is fun to do and is a huge help to Foster Care in getting these bags out to the foster children in counties not close to the Atlanta area.
Rachel Ewald does an amazing job of providing for the needs of foster children and foster parents all over the state, but could not do it without the help of volunteers.
